While formally trained in film, Panda Landa is a self-taught visual artist who draws inspiration from the deserts of Nevada where they grew up, and the captivating landscape of Joshua Tree where they currently reside. Panda's artistic journey has been a fusion of experimentation and exploration: their passion for color and improvisation drives their creative process—they embrace the unknown, allowing each piece to unfold organically until its completion. Committed to sustainability, Panda sources all fabric second-hand and hand-dyes each piece. Through their quilted improv pieces, Panda finds harmony in blending craft with fine art, creating evocative works that reflects their unique artistic perspective.

Christi Waldon is an actor, physical comedian, stunt coordinator/fight choreographer, and performing arts educator, based in Twentynine Palms, CA who earned her BA in Theater at the University of Houston. She taught unarmed, single sword, broadsword, and rapier & dagger stage combat at AMDA College for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles for 11 years. She performed in LA’s longest running theatrical event, Point Break Live!, as well as Terminator Too: Judgment Play, and Tom Gun Live. She has played Marissa the librarian in the Netflix hit series, Stranger Things. Christi is currently working on La Quinta’s High School production of She Kills Monsters as the fight choreographer and excited to be developing some new curriculum that focuses on integrating physical movement with storytelling, allowing students to express themselves creatively while enhancing their motor skills and understanding of narrative elements.

I'm based in 29. Been here three years. Took a painting course last year in college and then moved to Yosemite to learn how to paint outside. Travelled around a lot painted in lots of different places while spending summers living in the High Sierras in Tuolumne Meadows. Variety of mediums keeps things fresh. I'm comfortable using watercolors, pastels, oils, pencils, printing, sculpting, ceramics, etc. I focused on art because it's a meditative practice, it helps me process my emotions, and it gave some legitimacy to my habit of never staying in one place very long. Currently working on pastel still lifes of bottles and the sky. Excited about continuing the exploration of this subject. Next series will be inspired by renaissance paintings. Oil paintings of a Mother Mary figure with an animal or vegetable. Looking forward to doing creative spins on a classic subject as well as studying some of the older master painting techniques.

I have worked in Arts and Education my whole life. I fell in love with theater right out of high school. But it wasn't until I realized, while doing dinner theater in the Redwoods of Big Sur, it could be a career. Then it became a passion. I taught at the USC School of Dramatic Arts for 7yrs. I worked the RSC, The Bolshoi Ballet, Alvin Ailey and more at an amazing performing arts space in LA. I've taught kids and adults, ran volunteer programs, and produced events.

I am a carpenter/welder, with almost 40yrs under my belt. I'm Based in Joshua Tree and I believe, "Artists need to create at the same scale that society has the capacity to destroy."
